Spores are supplied as spore prints on heavy foil. Each print is individually packaged and prepared for clean, stable storage. Spore print size and density may vary by species and variety.
Psilocybe cubensis B+ Type 2 is the more common B+ version currently circulating in the Sporeworks catalog. It is not the original B+ Type 1, also known as B+ Classic. The current B+ Type 2 version appears to have replaced the original after the Sporeworks and Shroom Depot catalog merger, and its exact origin remains unclear.
B+ is one of the most recognizable names in modern cubensis spore catalogs. The current B+ Type 2 print is best presented as the widely circulating, heavy sporulating version with brown caps that flatten and fade toward caramel, golden brown or lighter yellow tones.
Habitat: bovine and equine dung, and enriched soils
Climate: subtropical
Origin: unknown
Spores: dark purplish brown, subellipsoid, around 13 × 8 micrometers, produced on 4-spored basidia.
For customers comparing classic cubensis prints, B+ Type 2 remains an important catalog staple.
It is our popular selection along with Golden Teacher, McKennaii, Ecuador and Treasure Coast.
For the same B+ Type 2 strain in liquid 10 ml format, see the Psilocybe cubensis B+ spore syringe.
