Psilocybe cubensis McKennaii is a modern and recognizable cubensis strain named in honor of Terence McKenna, the American ethnobotanical writer, lecturer and countercultural figure closely associated with public interest in Psilocybe mushrooms. The exact origin of this strain is uncertain, so no specific wild collection location should be assumed.
McKennaii sits closer to major catalog strains such as Golden Teacher and Penis Envy.
